Midfield

6. Wijnaldum had a good game working from the middle for Liverpool. The Dutch international held a 93 percent passing efficiency as he pushed the play forward through the middle making five dribbles. He and Jordan Henderson are the engines that get this team moving, against Tottenham he had himself another good night.. . . Georginio Wijnaldum

He dictated the play well from behind the front line. Outside of the four defenders, Henderson had more touches than any other Liverpool player with 104. He picked up four tackles and didn’t face any discipline for it. Henderson is that solid and steady hand on the pitch that every championship-caliber team needs. He had one dribble and a key pass but no shots either on goal or towards goal. Henderson was quick to get on the end of a poor Tottenham clearance that quickly led to Liverpool’s only goal on the day. It was one of those complete games you come to expect from the club captain.. . . Jordan Henderson. 8

6. I really enjoyed Oxlade-Chamberlain’s play against the Spurs. The former Arsenal man was constantly finding the pockets between the defensive line and midfield in opposition end. In 60 minutes on the pitch, Chamberlain picked up two shots towards goal, one hitting the post. I docked Joe Gomez for taking a yellow and I’ll dock Chamberlain for the same. He still ends up with a 6-out-of-10.. . . Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
