Mohamed Salah. 8. It was quick thinking from Salah to realize he didn’t have a chance to get the ball on net. With his back to goal in the 18-yard box, the Egyptian did well to work the ball to his right and find Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian made no mistake. Salah was relatively quiet with only a single shot on target, but he played playmaker today with three key passes (one ending in the back of the net), two dribbles, and an 82 percent pass efficiency.. .

9. He now has three goals in his last four games. Firmino is hitting another level as we hit the second half of the Premier League season. Not only did he provide the only goal, but he added four shots (three on target), four key passes, one dribble, and an 87 percent pass efficiency. He was easily the man of the match.. . . Roberto Firmino

5. They aren’t all going to be bangers for the reigning African Footballer of the Year. Mané had two shots (one on target), no key passes and only completed 76 percent of his 41 passes in his 80 minutes of game time. Outside of his offensive play, he picked up four tackles as he broke up play higher up the pitch to keep Liverpool on the attack.. . . Sadio Mane
