Sadio Mane vs Aaron Wan Bissaka

Liverpool’s best and most important attacker will come up against United’s best defender in a battle that will be brilliant to watch and will go some way in deciding the outcome of the game.

Wan Bissaka isn’t the most natural attacker and only has one assist to his name this season – against Newcastle United in a Christmas mauling – so his primary instincts will be to stop Mane causing havoc down the left.

This will be a straight shoot between a pure defender and a pure attacker. Mane is the club’s top scorer and second top assister with 11 and six, and is vital to the way Klopp sets up to play his football.

He’s hardly ever substituted off and will be a key man in these big games. When the Senegal international gets going, he drags the rest of the side with him and Wan Bissaka will have to be alive to the threat he poses.

With 50 goals from 21 league games, Liverpool have a potent attacking threat. This man is one of the reasons why and will cause problems for any side in the world. Wan Bissaka is a good player but he’s still inexperienced, and games like the one on Sunday will say a lot about his ability.
