Liverpool beat Manchester United thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. Here are four things we learned from the game.

The win takes the Reds an incredible 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League and caps off an excellent weekend for Jurgen Klopp and the boys.

Manchester City dropped points, Leicester City suffered a surprise loss to Burnley and now Liverpool beat their rivals to climb even higher up on the ladder.

In truth it could have been more. Good chances were missed and the team kept everyone on the edge of their seats until Mohamed Salah raced away and beat David de Gea with just moments left on the clock.

The King’s goal gave Alisson and assist – and he responded with a full-length sprint of the field and a delighted knee slide. You love to see it.

At the other end, Liverpool have now kept seven clean sheets in a row and those days when we worried about the defensive record seem like they belonged to another decade. Alisson has come back, he’s playing well, and things are going great.

Joel Matip was back in the squad but he might struggle to reclaim his place in the side as Joe Gomez put in another strong performance.

There is plenty to talk about from this game, so click through the slides and read about four things we learned as Liverpool beat Manchester United 2-0.
