Mohamed Salah vs Conor Coady

How much rotation will Klopp undergo against Wolves? Especially after the boys gave it everything they have against Manchester United on Sunday.

Xherdan Shaqiri missed that game and may not be fully fit, so that’s one option to replace Mohamed Salah out the window. Wolves are a strong side, they compete well and they never give up so it’s likely that Salah will be picked again.

Facing off against him will be Merseyside lad Conor Coady, who has played every game for the Midlands side this season and is the beating heart of the side. He’s a fantastic leader and is very highly rated by his manager, but if Salah can disrupt that then Liverpool will have nullified a vital building block in the Wolves defence.

He’s an excellent defender and makes 1.2 tackles, 0.7 interceptions and 3.3 clearances per game while performing less than one foul per game – say WhoScored. These stats aren’t the best at the club, but it doesn’t tell the whole story.

Coady isn’t afraid to dish out the hard truths, like Jordan Henderson would on the field, and if he can be knocked off his perch it will be advantageous for Liverpool. Salah will be keen to twist him inside and out, and Klopp will look to the Egyptian to do maximum damage.
