After watching Liverpool drag a 2-1 win out of nowhere at Wolves, it struck that there is one transfer Roberto Firmino does not want to see.

The name Raul Jimenez probably wouldn’t mean that much to many people who watch the Premier League, other than some sort of idea that he was a decent forward playing in the top flight.

But since his arrival in England he’s been vital to Nuno Santo’s cause and could lay claim to being the ‘new Roberto Firmino‘.

All the things that Bobby does well, Jimenez does well too. He seems to be able to finish at a greater rate than the Brazilian, and certain works just as hard, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Liverpool had looked at him at some point or another.

Reports have linked Jurgen Klopp with another forward for quite some time, and the club bringing in Raul Jimenez would be a nightmare situation for Firmino.

Instantly, there’d be someone around who isn’t just going to sit on the bench and wait for his chance to impress in cup games or the odd Premier League match. There’d be another striker with two good seasons of football to his name and most of the attributes Klopp looks for in Bobby.

Of course this is all hypothetical and there aren’t links out there putting Jimenez and Liverpool together, but out of the players the Reds would look at in the Premier League and beyond, this man is the one who could pose the biggest threat to Firmino.
