Leaky West Ham can expect Liverpool hammering
Leaky West Ham can expect a hammering as Liverpool make the trip to London to face them in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
The Hammers have been poor this season and have gone back to their old manager David Moyes, who was hired when Manuel Pellegrini failed to deliver the results required when Moyes was sacked.
With 12 losses and 38 goals conceded in 2019/2020, you can’t say it’s been the Irons season. They are fresh off the back of conceding four in the loss to Leicester City and have an awful record against Liverpool.
The last six games between these two sides have seen 19 goals for the Reds and just five for West Ham. There was an incredible run of four games in which Liverpool hit the Hammers for four. They do not like us.
All the signs point towards a dominating Jurgen Klopp side inflicting maximum pain on Moyes. Liverpool have scored at least two goals in 28 of their last 32 league games, have won their last 14, have the best defensive record in the competition and have hit the back of the net 2.5 times or more in five of their last six away games.
So no home ground advantage for the Hammers either.
With some time off between the Wolves game and now, Klopp will be able to pick from a fully refreshed first team – although the jury will be out on whether Fabinho should start following his rusty performance against Shrewsbury.
The injury list is getting shorter, players are getting hungrier and the wins keep on coming. All the omens point towards an excellent time to be a Liverpool fan for the game on Wednesday night.
We just need to get through this game, Southampton on the weekend and then there’s the two week break that will do the squad the power of good. After that? The Premier League title.
