Liverpool eased past West Ham 2-0 at the London Stadium as the undroppable Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was at it again. Read what else we learned here!

Mohamed Salah scored a first half penalty after Divock Origi went down in the box while Oxlade-Chamberlain grabbed the second thanks to a gorgeous Salah pass as the Reds went 19 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was instrumental to the team’s success as the Reds put in a highly satisfying performance away to the Hammers. The Ox’s goal, which was extremely well taken, capped off an all-action 85 minutes by the former Arsenal man as he keeps on growing into his Anfield career.

Earlier in the game Salah scored a penalty after Origi was fouled by Issa Diop in the box following a quick counter-attack. Roberto Firmino was involved as well, it’s almost impossible to keep the Brazilian out of the action, and Salah finished things off from the spot.

Manuel Lanzini missed an excellent chance as Liverpool nearly allowed West Ham a way back in just after the break. But then the Reds executed a perfect smash and grab as Salah set up Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – who resisted the temptation to go down under pressure and stroked it into the back of the net.

The pass from Salah was a beautifully weighted, outside of the boot affair, while Oxlade-Chamberlain showed fantastic pace and strength to run through and finish with elite composure. The Ox has now scored more Premier League goals against the Hammers than any other side and this is a fixture in which he has done well in the past.
