Liverpool take on Southampton and former striker Danny Ings on Saturday. Here’s how you can live stream it and see Virgil van Dijk put him in his place.

The Reds are now 19 points clear at the top of the Premier League thanks to their easy 2-0 win over West Ham on Wednesday night and will be looking to consolidate this weekend.

Ings, who has been on fire for the Saints this season, will be looking to put the ghosts of Anfield behind him by scoring for Ralph Hasenhüttl and adding to his 14 goals.

For context, Mohamed Salah has 12 while Sadio Mane is stuck on 11. Roberto Firmino, Liverpool’s third highest goal scorer, has just the eight. Ings is having a marvellous season and it’s good to see him back and enjoying football after all the injury hell he went through on Merseyside.

When he was sold, Michael Edwards was labelled as a genius for persuading Southampton to part with £18 million – but his record since then suggests it was a good deal for all parties. Liverpool shouldn’t have too many injury concerns ahead of the clash. Mane will probably still miss the game after he limped out against Wolves, while Divock Origi came off with cramp against West Ham. The official club website reported that it wasn’t a serious problem.

Southampton are an interesting side because they press hard and intelligently. Hasenhüttl is from the Red Bull school of football and this game could be like watching a mini-Reds in action against themselves.
