Following their 2-0 win over West Ham, Liverpool take on Southampton at Anfield.

The Saints have produced some pretty impressive results lately which has seen them go from 19th to ninth in less than 50 days. They also have Danny Ings, who has been banging them in for fun and sits on 14 goals.

Southampton have won their last four away fixtures in the league but this is Anfield, a venue where Liverpool haven’t lost a top-flight game in nearly three years. The Reds are without Sadio Mane but have a squad which is more than capable of beating Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side.

However, Southampton shouldn’t be written off given their current form and you never know when they could be on the brink of creating an upset.

Now, let’s take a look at our predicted XI and don’t forget to leave your say in the comments section.

Alisson

The Brazilian Nick Pope, Ben Foster and Dean Henderson. Alisson will be hoping to go this weekend’s fixture without conceding a goal to in order to better his chances of winning the Golden Glove for a second successive season.

Alisson has been in top form lately and he will be expected to be at his best on Saturday in order to keep the Southampton attackers at bay. It won’t be an easy task for the 27-year-old as he will be up against Ings who is bound to trouble the Liverpool defence given his current form.
