Liverpool travel to Norfolk to play Norwich on Saturday afternoon, but make sure you keep an eye on Jurgen Klopp throughout the game.

We know that the German likes to keep an eye on potential Premier League recruits while they play against the Reds, and the Canaries game could have a special significance.

That’s because Liverpool have been linked with no fewer than three Norwich players. Daniel Farke has assembled a squad of talented youngsters, many of whom will go on to have excellent careers at the highest level.

Todd Cantwell, Jamal Lewis, Ben Godfrey and Max Aarons are some of the more interesting starlets in the squad. Now, Liverpool aren’t going to do a deal for all of them – but Lewis could be most interesting of the quartet.

Neco Williams has proven himself as a capable deputy to Trent Alexander-Arnold over the course of this season, but Yasser Larouci and Adam Lewis are still off the pace and left-back is a bit of a problem area for Liverpool.

Jamal Lewis could be the man to bridge that gap. He’s still only 22-years-old and would surely jump at the chance to work with Klopp while he’s still in his developmental stage.

There isn’t a player in this squad who has gone backwards under the German and the whole football world knows it. If Norwich go down, Lewis is also likely to be available for the right price and the Reds have a history of moving quickly to secure relegated talent on the cheap.

So don’t be surprised if you see Klopp or a member of his team taking the eagle-eyed approach before kick off on Saturday. Keep an eye out to see the gaffer watching the Canaries’ young crop of starlet as they warm up and take the game to Liverpool because it’ll tell us a thing or two about this summer’s transfer plans.
