Midfield

. Jordan Henderson. 8. . Liverpool

He’s the engine that runs this unstoppable Liverpool machine. Salah gets the headlines for scoring buckets of goals. Firmino gets applause for running the show up top. But Jordan Henderson is the engine that allows it all to work.

Against Norwich, Henderson was at the heart of everything Liverpool did either defensively or going forward.

His ball into the box from essentially the halfway line for Mané’s goal was, as Liverpool said themselves over Twitter….sublime.

. Naby Keita. 7. . Liverpool

Kieta bosses the midfield yet again for Liverpool. he finished the match with two dribbles, five tackles, three shots, and a key pass. If not for Tim Krul being in great form Keita probably gets Liverpool on the board first.

Subbed for James Milner at the 84th minute.

. Liverpool. . Georginio Wijnaldum. 5

Gini was anonymous for the most past. Maybe that was just me, but I had forgotten he was on the pitch when he was subbed off in the 60th minute for _Fabinho_.

He finished the days with a single tackle on the stat sheet. Though he also recorded a 96.7 passer rating, the highest on the team. It’s probably why Jurgen Klopp decided to sub him off in favor of the Brazilian midfielder.

While Liverpool maintained most of the possession, they weren’t doing anything with it. Bringing on Fabinho would allow Keita and Henderson to push up a bit more. And it worked.

Subbed for Fabinho at the 60th minute.

. Liverpool. . Fabinho. 6

A tackle, an interception and a cross with an 84 passer rating is what Fabinho finished with on the day. He was brought in to allow the two other midfielders the opportunity to push forward so that Liverpool could unlock Norwich. Job well done.
