Forgotten Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is in critical need of a makeover after it was confirmed that he’ll return to the club this summer.

talkSPORT borrowed from an article in The Athletic and reported that the goalkeeper won’t be hanging around at Besiktas any longer than his loan agreement states.

It kinda feels like a bank robber coming back to the scene of his last, great failed attempt after spending a few years in the clink. And just like our fictional robber, Loris Karius is in serious need of a makeover.

Not in a stylistic sense, the man is gorgeous and has hair that CGI would struggle to reproduce. In a footballing sense, in a career wise sense.

His time in Turkey has not been easy. There have been three managers to work with, some of whom publically criticised the stopper, and unpaid wages to contend with.

Karius has been away from the spotlight in a sense, but every time he makes a mistake Twitter jumps all over it and forces us all to relive Kiev.

Liverpool need to take him in and show him some love in the nastiest way possible – by kicking him out of Anfield. If this was a rescue dog, we would be talking about finding a forever home.

Jurgen Klopp needs to call up his mates around the world and offer them a player who, with a bit of love and attention, can be a good stopper and a good distributor if you put an arm and his shoulder and don’t shout when he poops on the carpet.

He’s got no future at Anfield, let’s just say that now. Adrian is contracted for another season and has done well, so deserves a second year with this incredible team.

dark. Next. Five of the biggest snakes to play for Liverpool

Karius won’t want to come back and play the role of third choice stopper, so Andy Lonergan might continue with his role as the luckiest man in football and snag a new contract.

But he might be able to find his forever home after a failed trial run with Besiktas, and that’s the least we can offer him.
