We can beat anyone

There was an advert that went viral a few years ago among the football Twitter community of a man who advertised his services under the name Gary Goals.

Gary was boss because he could score ‘all the goals’ and was available for any type of game, anywhere. Just get Gary the ball and he would put it in the back of the net, no matter if it was five-a-side, 11-a-side or any random type of football out there.

Liverpool are a bit like Gary. They score all the goals, all types of goals and in all sorts of match situations. They score goals they aren’t meant to score – like Mohamed Salah against West Ham – and goals they aren’t meant to.

Jurgen Klopp’s side also win when they aren’t meant to. That three points against the Hammers was case in point, they have an incredible mentality and refuse to give up. They are a bit like Atletico in that regard, who they need to beat at Anfield in other to progress to the quarter-final of the competition.

Being at home is another reason why Liverpool can qualify and then beat go all the way. It’s an absolute fortress that comes alive for European games and the Reds don’t lose there.
