We’ll be fresh for it

Lets not kid ourselves, by the time the Champions League final comes around we’ll have already won the Premier League and attentions would have turned towards a second European crown in a row.

There are just three more wins to go before Liverpool are crowned as historic league winners – and whether or not Klopp switches his attentions in an obvious and overt manner towards the Champions League or not, the players will find it hard not to save themselves for Europe.

Liverpool are blessed with a good squad and there are plenty of rotation options. Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren could come in for either of our central defenders, Milner can play anywhere while the midfield is blessed for choice.

Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana are Premier League quality midfielders, while Curtis Jones could be handed his first top flight start while Takumi Minamino can come in for anyone across the front three.

Liverpool have a unique chance to keep their best players fresh for the European stage, while the other top sides will still be competing for domestic honours and will have to compete on a number of stages.

These are special times to be following the Reds and this is a special chance to have a truly memorable campaign.
