Four shots, three on target. Mané had enough opportunities to get Liverpool on the board but couldn’t find the breakthrough they needed.

He was the primary source of Liverpool’s attack and it’s clear that Frank Lampard’s men knew that before kickoff. They did what they could to make Mané’s life difficult on that day. And it succeeded.

. . Takumi Minamino. 5.

It was an anonymous day for Liverpool’s most recent signing. The former Salzburg forward was completely snuffed out by Chelsea who made him irrelevant on the day. If he’s going to take a regular spot in Liverpool’s first team, he’s going to minimize these types of performances.

Divock Origi. 4. . .

The Liverpool legend needed to have another legendary night. But with a shot on target, a team-low (for starters) 63.2 percent passer rating and no key passes Origi was not at his best. Klopp clearly saw the same thing. Unfortunately, he may have waited too long to sub him off for Roberto Firmino in the 69th minute.
