‘No need to apologise’ Harry Wilson responds to fake fan fury
Liverpool starlet Harry Wilson has responded to fake fan fury on Twitter after he was caught doing something Cherries didn’t like on Saturday.
The forward is on loan at Bournemouth but wasn’t available to play because the terms of his agreement stipulate that Wilson can’t feature against the Reds – so he sat in the stands instead.
And that’s not part of the problem. The issue occurred because Harry Wilson was handed a Liverpool branded jacket and put it on for the game, which the Reds won 2-1 thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
Twitter picked this up and there was enough of a fuss raised that the youngster felt the need to post an apology and explanation on his personal account.

This really is the definition of a storm in a teacup and most of the responses from Bournemouth fans showed that nobody really took it that seriously.
It’s only the awful ‘banter’ Twitter accounts that made anything of the picture, really, and we all know that manufactured fake fan fury isn’t really the greatest way to judge what supporters think of an issue as a whole.
As Wilson explained, he was cold and was offered a Liverpool coat by the nearest member of staff. He didn’t feel that he could interrupt the Bournemouth staff at that time to grab one, and accepted the member of kindness.
Unfortunately, that seems like it could be the last time we see the Wales international wearing a Red at Anfield. The signing of Takumi Minamino probably means his ‘place’ in the squad is gone, while Xherdan Shaqiri‘s impending departure won’t really do anything to open up a position within the team.
With seven goals in his first Premier League campaign and a solid record of Championship output, Wilson will be able to forge a top flight career. It just doesn’t look like it’ll be on Merseyside.
