Liverpool could bank an incredible £110 million from player sales this summer if Jurgen Klopp decides to have one massive clear out.

The Reds have a number of high-value footballers out on loan or sitting in reserve, who are almost certain to be moved on when the current season is brought to a close.

That value reflects the transfer fees Liverpool would bring in, and doesn’t even mention the wage savings the club could make. In the case of Adam Lallana, not in the list because of his impending free departure, it’s a pertinent point as the first team midfielder would be on good money.

We’ve seen that when players reach a certain point in their career, the gaffer prefers to sell them rather than continue on an endless cycle of loan moves. That can be frustrating for certain lads, like Ryan Kent, but when they eventually get their permanent transfer it’s better for their career.

This list could include up to seven senior players and a couple who have struggled to break through for one reason or another.

Suspension of the Premier League because of COVID-19 has meant we’re all starved of football right now, but it will give Liverpool some extra planning in regards to summer transfers – if the season starts on time.

Money will need to be allocated carefully as Liverpool will surely be going for top tier players. They’ve got good enough youth prospects to have strength in depth by calling up U23 stars, but are crying out for one other world-class attacker to supplement the ranks.

Someone else in defence could fit the bill, too, especially if we see departures from that department.

Talking about departures, let’s have a look at who could be sold for up to £21 million.
