An Ex-Ajax and Netherlands U21 striker had admitted that he wants to move to Liverpool.

The Echo carried a story, sourced from Football Oranje, that said forward Kaj Sierhuis has always thought of playing on Merseyside as a ‘dream’ and wants to move to play under Jurgen Klopp.

Siehuis was born in Athens but to Dutch parents and started his professional journey through the Ajax system and moved to Luis Suarez and Virgil van Dijk‘s former side Groningen for a brief loan spell.

He did well at Groningen, as Suarez and van Dijk did, scoring 10 goals in 37 appearances but the starlet failed to make the cut at a competitive Ajax and was sold to French side Reims at the end of January for £3.60 million.

Kaj Sierhuis has only played once for the French side before European football was suspended in the face of COVID-19, but now he’s already putting feelings out about a possible move to Liverpool.

"He said: “Liverpool has been my favourite club since childhood. It will be a dream to ever earn that (a move).”"

That’s not really surprising news in itself. Liverpool is an incredible club right now and any player in their right mind would want to play for the club.

Jurgen Klopp has developed a brilliant system, they’re close to completing a brand new training ground and the scouting and developing of youngsters has been taken up a notch.

Would there be room for Kaj Sierhuis in the squad? Probably not. Rhian Brewster is in the side and will expect some first team football next season, especially after he’s done well at his loan spell with Swansea City.

At 21-years-old, Sierhuis would expect regular football and that probably wouldn’t happen for him at Liverpool. It’s exciting for another player to talk about how much they want a move to Anfield, but this is going to be a damp squib.
