One dream target to sign from every Premier League club
Southampton
Picking someone from Southampton is actually really hard. They’ve got some lad called Danny Ings, but he’s just moved from Liverpool and I haven’t got the stones to put him back on the list – even if he has scored 15 league goals this season.
Other than that, James Ward-Prowse patrols the midfield and he’s definitely a good player and one you might take for Liverpool. Except our engine room is so packed out that Oxlade-Chamberlain is hardly able to get a game.
Marko Grujic definitely won’t be able to.
And that leaves us with taking a forward option, and a man who is often overlooked but who is a good Premier League operator.
He’s a key part of how Southampton operate and has already played 157 games for the Saints despite being 26-years-old. His goals and assists tally isn’t as high as it could have been, but that’ll change when he’s playing with better players and in a better system.
Redmond would be able to play across the front three and provides excellent versatility in the system. The former Birmingham man has played left wing, right wing, central forward and as a shadow striker in 2019/2020 and that will serve him well going forward.
