Solid defence, but not much else going on further up the field is how we normally like to characterise Sean Dyche’s side. But they have young winger Dwight McNeil patrolling on the left, and he’s got a bright future.

In this post-Brexit landscape, British players are going to be of high value and McNeil will only see his star rise over the course of the next few years.

He’s played 97% of Burnley’s available minutes in the Premier League this season and with five goals and 10 assists in his Premier League career, McNeil has got off to a good start and that could easily be more with better players around him.

Liverpool could use McNeil as a back-up to Sadio Mane on the left, and this would free up some space to get Divock Origi off the wage limit and bring in a pretty penny to bolster the available transfer spend.

At 20, he would be able to learn from the best, get coached by Klopp, play in the Champions League and boost his chances of being picked by England.

With a valuation of £18 million, this isn’t a move that would come cheap. But Burnley have got to be a selling club and there’s no way Dyche would deny someone a dream move while also pocketing a pretty penny in the process.
