Danny Mills is of the opinion that Liverpool should make a move a Manchester City star instead of trying to buy Adama Traore.
The 24-year-old has made quite a name for himself thanks to his performances for Wolves this season, amassing six goals and ten assists in 43 appearances across all competitions so far. Liverpool would be silly not be interested.
Adama Traore has been linked to Liverpool lately with Football Insider claiming that the club have identified him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane.
However, Mills is of the opinion that the Reds should try to sign City star Leroy Sane ahead of the Wolves winger. Speaking to Football Insider, the former England international said:”Traore makes a lot of headlines (but) I do not think he is there yet. Somebody like Leroy Sane – possibly.”
Sane has established himself as one of the best wingers in the world thanks to his performances for City.
Last season, he was terrific for Pep Guardiola‘s side, netting 16 goals and providing 18 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions so far. An injury sustained during the Community Shield has sidelined the German international but it’s fair to say that he will be back in action once football in England resumes.

Provided either of Salah or Mane leave, Liverpool will need to sign another winger. Even if both stay, the club needs to bring in a few quality players to add more depth to their squad.
Someone like Sane who is extremely quick and is capable of creating as well as scoring goals would be a solid addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The German international would be a much better option than Traore but it won’t be easy for Liverpool to land him, especially with Bayern Munich being interested in his signature for a while now.
And with his Premier League experience and undoubted talent – as opposed to the Wolves man’s potential – could swing things in favour of the former Schalke starlet.
