A Liverpool transfer target has stated that it’ll take more than £265 million to sign him in the summer.

HITC has ran quotes that Italian publication Corriere Della Sera gathered, in which Liverpool transfer target Sandro Tonali offered an update on his future. And it doesn’t make for very positive reading.

That’s because the 19-year-old has been slapped with a monster £265 million fee by Brescia’s president – even though the Italian international is in his debut Serie A season with his hometown club.

Sandro Tonali broke through into the side when they were in Serie B and has already made 77 appearances, scoring six goals and assisting 14 times.

Clubs were sniffing around before the starlet made his top flight debut, and he made his international debut before even playing in Serie A, and this has alerted a number of top sides to his talent.

But Sandro Tonali isn’t interested in any of that and doesn’t want to have his head turned. Talking about those rumours, he said: “I don’t care, not right now.”

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is the Brescia chairman and has set a massive price tag on his princeling’s head.

"“He will not sell me even for €300m. The President loves me, like a son. And I love him very much.”"

According to Transfermarkt, the youngster is only worth £31.50 million and you can imagine Brescia would sell up if a good offer came in for their hottest property – although the fact that Sandro Tonali is a homeboy and loves the club will work in their favour.

TuttoSport said he’ll cost any side who wants him in between £45 million and £54.5 million. A little bit less than that massive £265 million, then.

According to research we did last season, when the link were first starting to come through, the midfielder would be an excellent signing for Liverpool and would be able to make the step up to Premier League level without too much concern.

He’s been compared to Andrea Pirlo, but has similarities to Chelsea man Jorginho in the way he can dictate play.

£45 million might be a good price to pay for their man – who has already made his international debut despite not featuring in the Italian top flight and has taken to Serie A like a duck to water.
