Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick is set to nick a £100 million transfer target from right under Liverpool noses.

There are only a handful of clubs in the world who can afford a certain calibre of player. These are the world-class stars who can change a game by themselves, and Liverpool are part of that higher echelon of outfits.

Thanks to Jurgen Klopp and his connections back in Germany, the Reds have been able to compete with Munich for some of the best names in the Bundesliga.

Naby Keita was nicked from RB Leipzig and later admitted that he turned down Bayern as well as Barcelona to join Klopp at Anfield. Liverpool have also signed Joel Matip on a free transfer from Schalke and sent Nathaniel Phillips to Stuttgart on loan.

So what I’m saying is, there is a strong connection between Liverpool and Germany.

Which is why there have been constant links with the best of the Bundesliga talent this summer. When the transfer window finally opens, there’ll be several top flight clubs lining up to strengthen their squads using the best of best coming through.

Bayern normally try to hoover up the competition. They attack from a position of strength in order to weaken their closer rivals and the Daily Mail has reported that they are ready to do so with Kai Havertz.

According to the report, Kai Havertz is ready to reject Liverpool and sign with Germany’s biggest club and are willing to put in a monster £100 million bid for him. He’s the youngest man to hit 100 top flight appearances and made his international debut two years ago.

In 139 games for Bayer Leverkusen he’s scored 38 goals and created 30 assists and hit the back of the net 17 times last season as Havertz proved he’s an elite attacking midfielder.

At 20-years-old, the German will only get better and that’s a scary thought. His transfer fee is high but that would give the buying club the best part of a decade for their money.
