Liverpool star Sadio Mane has recast himself as a ballarina as we look back on some of the best individual moments from the past season.

We’re incredible lucky to be able to watch players like Sadio Mane take to the field for Liverpool, but the Senegal international doesn’t necessarily have a reputation for being the trickiest man out there.

We’d probably give that one to Roberto Firmino, the king of the no-look and the backheel and all that jazz. But this clip shows the excellent power, strength and balance of the man, who has become one of the best forwards in the world.

There’s been plenty of speculation about Mane’s future at Anfield, with some reports linking him with a move away in order for Liverpool to bring in someone like Jadon Sancho or Kylian Mbappe – but that doesn’t make sense.

When you watch clips like the one coming up, you’ll see glimpses of why Liverpool need Sadio Mane to stay at the club – especially as he’s in his peak years as a footballer and going from strength to strength.

With 14 goals and nine assists in 26 Premier League games this season, the former Southampton man has had another excellent campaign and backed up 22 strikes from 2018/2019.

It’s interesting that Mane has registered far more assists and despite the fact his goal count has gone down a little bit he’s still contributing enormously to the team and we’d miss a lot without him in the side.

Back to this clip though. The thing that makes it so impressive is how he manages to hold off one defender while keeping the composure to nick the ball around a second and burst through the gap and towards open space.

Not too many players are able to do that and it shows the best physical attributes of Mane as well as his incredible football brain.
