Liverpool star goalkeeper Alisson has posted an impressive training video from his back garden as well as an inspirational message.
We’ve seen plenty of Liverpool players taking part in exercise and posting it online, but this is one of the only videos we’ve seen of a player doing some private football training in their backyard.
Alisson also managed to provide an inspiration quote at the bottom of his tweet, in which he reminded everyone that they’ll come out of this stronger – as well as urging his fans to stay motivated and to stay fit and healthy.
This is an uncertain time for Liverpool and for the players. Nobody knows when the Premier League will be in action next, and footballers have to stay fit, stay motivated and keep their skills up all while isolating from the rest of society.
Alisson was filmed keeping his reflexes sharp by standing in goal, but facing away from the person striking the ball. At the striker’s command, the goalkeeper jumped to face the ball – which had already been kicked – and then made the save at very short notice.
The Brazilian repeated this in all three directions (facing left, facing right and facing the back of the net) in the short clip. It was an interesting insight into what footballers can do while they are locked inside, and doubtless gave some inspiration to a few aspiring players as well.

We’ve seen him change what it means to be a goalkeeper for Liverpool. After all those years of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, the decision to buy Alisson helped to propel the side to the sixth Champions League triumph as well as the success of this season.
