New Arsenal defender Pablo Mari has given a glowing reference to the Liverpool front three after he faced them for Flamengo.

Liverpool took on the Brazilian outfit back in December during the Club World Cup in Qatar as Jurgen Klopp decided to field a strong unit that included Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Pablo Mari went on to join Arsenal in January but only played a couple of games before COVID-19 caused the Premier League to be suspended.

He’s spoken very highly about the strength of the forward three and issued a warning to the rest of the league.

"Mari said: “It’s because of speed, intelligence and their characters. I think these things are most important and make them top players.”"

Flamengo put everything into that fixture and still came out as the losers, and that was down to the superior quality of Liverpool and the mentality Klopp has injected into the squad.

Mari added that they thought they could go into the match with nothing to lose and everything to gain, but still couldn’t get a win from the fixture – and that’s down to the the toughness of our front three.

There arne’t many sides who can stop Mane, Firmino and Salah when they are firing on all cylinders and the Club World Cup proved that as well.

When you add Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson to that mix and you have a near unstoppable force of five of the best players in the world in their positions.

Football might be suspended for now but you can bet they will be back up to speed as quickly as possible if we get to see some more Premier League in the next few months.

Liverpool have still got to play Arsenal again, as the current fixture list stands, and Mari could face up against this tough front three one more time.
