Three things to know about Liverpool transfer target Eduardo Camavinga
Tackles and fouls galore
If Liverpool wanted to bring Eduardo Camavinga to the side, they won’t be getting a wonderkid who can take on a bunch of players and slot one in the top corner.
But they would be getting someone just as valuable.
Camavinga makes an incredible amount of tackles a game as he gets around the ground and protects the back four.
According to WhoScored, he puts in 4.2 tackles, as well as making 1.4 interceptions and 1.3 clearances as well as the third amount of dribbles per game out of the whole squad. That’s more tackles than anyone in Ligue 1.
He’s 17.
With 2.2 tackles per games, Jordan Henderson makes the most in the whole Liverpool side. This could be down to Klopp’s side keeping possession more and therefor the requirement for tackling is less, but these are still impressive numbers for Camavinga.
The starlet isn’t afraid to stick the boot in either, and he makes the most fouls out of anyone in the team. So it looks like he’s going to break up attacks either way.
Would that style fit in with how Liverpool play? He’s got discipline, isn’t afraid to take on players much older than him and has proven himself to be robust due to the amount of games he’s played this season.
