Liverpool fans tear into dangerous ‘psychopath’ Ederson

Liverpool fans have torn into Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.

Things were going well for the second best Brazilian goalkeeper in the world, until Arsenal pumped a ball long towards his goal.

In a horrible 2020 remake of Schumacher vs Battiston, the City man came flying out of the blocks and absolutely flattened one of his own.

Eric Garcia was left prone on the floor and required treatment for an extended period of time after Ederson rushed forward with no thought for his team mate’s safety.

It was a clash that looked strangely similar to the one that led Sadio Mane to see red against City two seasons ago.

While Garcia was receiving treatment by a team of medics, Ederson appeared to be unbothered and walked around his penalty box without a care in the world.

As the first big Premier League game after the season has resumed, the result didn’t really show up many shocks. Arsenal were expected to lose, and in the end it was a walk in the park for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Raheem Sterling opened the scoring, of course he did, before a penalty by Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden wrapped up all three points.

David Luiz made us all appreciate Dejan Lovren after the Brazilian’s 25 minutes have got to be up there with the most disasterous in top flight history. During Luiz’s time on the pitch he managed to make two mistakes that led to goals and get sent off for fouling Riyad Mahrez in the box.

Things just went really badly for Arsenal, but then Ederson flattened his own defender and the conversation switched from the Gunners to City.

Twitter has not taken that kindly.

You’d like to think that Alisson would have behaved differently if he’d taken out Joe Gomez while coming for a ball.
