Liverpool face Arsenal at the Emirates. This is our predicted team.

This comes after a fantastic performance, yet not so fantastic result at home to Burnley on Saturday for Liverpool.

Andy Robertson nodded the Reds’ ahead before half-time with a beautifully placed header, but rearguard action from Nick Pope and a wonderful finish from Jay Rodriguez saw Sean Dyche’s men leave Anfield with a point.

‘Result bias’ in media is something not often talked about, and it clearly was on show after this match – it is arguable that it was Liverpool’s best performance since lockdown – with the exclusion of Crystal Palace.

So it is key not to overreact – yes, a century is not as easy to get as before, but this team has done things none of us could visualise two years ago.

Next up they face Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal – a team with a mixed record of late.

They began the restart woefully, losing out to both Man City and Brighton, but since were unbeaten until their defeat in the North London derby.

Although Arteta has improved their defensive structure, the personnel are still there for the taking. The Liverpool front three of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will be licking their lips at the prospect.

Here’s who we think Jurgen will plump for at The Emirates:

Alisson Becker

There was next to nothing Alisson could do about the Burnley goal on Saturday, and as per usual, he will line up in goal for the Reds.

He will be vital in stopping the efforts from the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and the in-form Bukayo Saka – and hope to play a part in the Reds’ first win at Arsenal since 2016.
