Mo Salah and Fabinho were poor as Liverpool lost to Arsenal.

In one of the strangest matches of the season, Arsenal somehow toppled Liverpool after being dominated off the park at The Emirates.

To begin with the Reds were looking brilliant in the half-spaces, pressing and winning the ball back high up the field.

And this domination paid dividends early on as they took the lead.

Andy Robertson won an intercepted header on the halfway line nodding into Roberto Firmino, who returned the favour for the Scot in the Arsenal penalty area.

He drove the ball in to Sadio Mane who finished easily past Emi Martinez.

Two individual errors allowed the Gunners to emerge victorious however.

First from Virgil van Dijk, who under pressure from Reiss Nelson played an unbelievably dangerous back-pass which Alexandre Lacazette clinically finished.

Then the ‘keeper, Alisson, made a shocking error from another back pass to allow Reiss Nelson to finish past the culprit.

The result portrays a poor performance – but in truth the Reds pressing – especially in the first half – was the best it has been since football returned.

Here’s the player ratings to reflect this.

4. . . . Alisson Becker

It really wasn’t the Brazilian stopper’s night at The Emirates.

Liverpool can usually always rely on Alisson to be as solid as a rock behind a solid defence, but the mistake he made was part of the reason the Reds’ lost.

In truth he had nothing else to do, so his role wasn’t that crucial in the game in exception of two moments – and he failed to deliver in both.
