There’s fresh news about Liverpool duo Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

Real Madrid have been linked with both players, as per Team Talk and Sports Joe, leading to fears that Liverpool could be in for a nervous summer transfer window.

However, Madrid president Florentino Pérez could have calmed gossip with comments he made following the La Liga giants winning the league.

COVID-19 has dropped the bottom out of the transfer market in the Premier League, but it could even affect the richest of the teams.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has repeatedly stated that he won’t be spending much this window, a stance that’s already led to Chelsea signing Timo Werner.

Those comments have come under fire from some fans, who aren’t pleased about the manner in which Liverpool have played following their Premier League win.

One thing that shouldn’t worry anyone, however, is Real Madrid’s attempts to sign Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

That’s because Perez has claimed there won’t be any ‘big signings’ made this summer. Salah and Mane would definitely fall into that category of player.

After winning the Champions League and the Premier League two years in a row, Klopp will want to make a similar statement for 2020/2021 and that couldn’t be done without either of the two forwards.

Liverpool seem to struggle enough with them in the side, never mind without them. The last five games have only served to highlight how questionable Divock Origi’s role in the squad is, while Harvey Elliott clearly isn’t ready for first team football.

Takumi Minamino and Curtis Jones have done okay, while Rhian Brewster is impressing for Swansea City in the Championship and Harry Wilson has scored seven goals for Bournemouth this season.

But without Salah and Mane, Klopp won’t be able to continue the theme of dominance he’s established over the past few years.
