With the title now behind them, what’s next for Liverpool’s squad?

It’s time to evaluate where the Liverpool squad stands in this unprecedented transfer window. With Jurgen Klopp and Fenway Sports Group essentially ruling out the possibility of an active summer, few players are expected to come or go.

Still, moving a couple of squad players might free up the necessary cash to sanction a move should the right player become available.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Norwich City left-back Jamal Lewis, who wouldn’t break the bank, but there are definitely areas for improvement across the side.

There’s plenty of players coming back from loan moves and they could all be moved on for profit, as sporting director Michael Edwards has always been able to sell well.

As we know, there’s some who are untouchable. They include goalkeeper Alisson Becker, defender Virgil van Dijk and our fabulous front three.

Keepers

Alisson Becker

He’s the best, you keep the best. Keep (obviously).

Adrián

He was in great form at the start of the season and played a vital role in securing the Super Cup. Opinion soured on him after the Atletico Madrid tie, however, and there remain doubts about his ability.

Keep, unless a viable alternative becomes available on the cheap. Better to stick with the devil you know.

Caoimhin Kelleher

Promising and talented with his feet, but he’s not ready for the first team. Time for him to move out of the youth squad and develop somewhere on loan.
