Liverpool fans hate the latest transfer news about Rhian Brewster.

Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath reported that the club could be willing to sell the forward this transfer window, if the money was right.

We’ve already been told that a host of Premier League sides want to sign the striker on loan, but Liverpool could be prepared to cash in now and sell for an offer that exceeds £20 million.

That’s sparked anger and rage among the fanbase, who view the youngster as a player for the future and someone who could lead the line for years to come.

Rhian Brewster did incredibly well during his loan spell with Swansea City and proved to the rest of the Premier League that he’s a cut above the second tier. However, he might find minutes hard to come by if he remains at Anfield this season.

It doesn’t appear as if Divock Origi is going anywhere, which puts a real spanner in the works regarding Brewster.

Liverpool have been unable to shift their fringe players in order to raise funds to use in the transfer market, and this could be seen as one way of doing that. Marko Grujic, Harry Wilson and Xherdan Shaqiri are all for sale, but nobody is prepared to meet Michael Edwards’ asking price.

This team does need a few additions still, primarily another central defender and possibly another forward who can interchange with Sadio Mane. Despite the emergence of Takumi Minamino as a serious option and the development of Curtis Jones, none of them represent a credible candidate for the role.

Minamino looks way better equipped to play through the middle, and has been trialled on the right, while Jones is still learning his trade at the highest level.

Selling Brewster would be a terrible decision that cuts off the Liverpool nose to spit their face, and fans have every right to be angry with it.
