Liverpool play Leeds on Saturday – this is the predicted lineup.

It’s only a matter of time before the start of the 2020/21 Premier League and Liverpool fans will be eager to see their team fighting for the title.

Just like last season, Jurgen Klopp’s lads start off the season against the Championship winners. Fans will be eager to see how United manager Marcelo Bielsa fares in his first Premier League season.

Liverpool have been unbeaten in their last eight matches against Leeds, with their last defeat coming at Anfield back in 2001. In every full season under Klopp so far, the Reds have scored at least three goals in their Premier League opener and they will be eager to maintain that record.

We’re undoubtedly heavy favorites to bag all three points this weekend but it would be foolish to write off any team managed by Bielsa. Leeds have made some decent signings in the summer and they could give the reigning champs a run for their money.

It will be interesting to see how the Reds fare on Saturday and us fans can hope that the team garners all three points.

Now, let’s take at Klopp’s predicted lineup.

Alisson

The Brazilian will undoubtedly don the gloves on Saturday and will be expecting to have better opening day than he had last season when an injured achilles tendon saw him miss a large chunk of matches.

Alisson has established himself as one of the best keepers in the world and his performances have been pretty good for Liverpool since joining them from Roma. The 27-year-old will be eager to foil Rodrigo and the other Leeds attackers and keep a clean sheet this weekend.

Alisson missed out on the Golden Glove to his compatriot and friend Ederson last season and he’d be keen to try and win the award this term. A good start to the Premier League would definitely boost his confidence ahead of the clash against Chelsea later this month.
