This is our predicted lineup for Liverpool vs Chelsea.

Premier League action resumes this weekend and Liverpool face a tough encounter on Sunday as they play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Reds survived a scare against Leeds United last weekend as a hat-trick from Mohamed Salah guided them to a 4-3 win over Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Last season, Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino. However, Frank Lampard’s side were strong in the second half with N’Golo Kante scoring a brilliant goal.

This season, Chelsea have fortified their squad with some high-profile signings in Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz, not to forget that they also roped in the experienced Thiago Silva.

The Blues put in a tough fight at Anfield a couple of months and it goes without saying that Jurgen Klopp’s side will have their work cut out on Sunday. However, given the quality of this Liverpool team, they have a decent chance of gaining all three points at Stamford Bridge.

So without any further ado, let’s take a look at how the Reds could line up against Chelsea this weekend.

Goalkeeper- Alisson

The Brazilian shot-stopper will undoubtedly be between the sticks on Sunday. Alisson did not have the best of outings against Leeds but will be eager to bounce back against Chelsea.

It has been almost nine years since Liverpool kept a clean sheet against the Blues at Stamford -Bridge and the 27-year-old will be eager to do that this weekend. Alisson needs to bring on his A-game if he is to get the better of the likes of Timo Werner and the other Chelsea attackers.

The Blues won’t be without the likes of Ziyech and Christian Pulisic but they still have a decent team and could trouble Liverpool’s defence on Sunday. Alisson will need to put in a much better performance than he did against Leeds if his team are to claim the three points on Sunday.
