Liverpool lineup vs Chelsea: Joe Gomez in, Naby Keita out
Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson
With Thiago coming in, Klopp is bound to face a selection dilemma, not that he already doesn’t have one. There are four midfielders in this Liverpool team who are capable of starting in Sunday’s match but unfortunately, only three can feature.
Fabinho was on the bench against Leeds before coming on as a substitute and later winning the penalty that led to our winner. The Brazilian will probably start against Chelsea and will hope to put on a strong show.
Jordan Henderson didn’t look too sharp against Leeds but having had a substantial gap, the Liverpool skipper could put in a much better performance against Chelsea and if Fabinho starts, he could aid the team defensively while also getting into advanced positions to help in attack.
The third midfield position will come down between Naby Keita and Gini Wijnaldum and I feel that the latter could start at the Guinean’s expense. That said, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if Klopp started the former Leipzig man and benched the Dutchman who has been linked to Barcelona lately.
