Liverpool fans are losing their minds over Kylian Mbappe joining the club.
Get Football News France are reporting that French outlet L’Équipe say Liverpool and Real Madrid are lining up to make a deal for the PSG star.
It’s difficult to get excited about this one because it just seems too implausible, although the source it’s coming from is pretty high level.
While Kylian Mbappe’s contract does expire next year, and the report says there’s no reason to expect he’ll agree fresh terms. However, there’s no concrete evidence to say the forward definitely wants to leave Paris.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are a possible destination for Mbappe. He likes the club, likes the manager and likes how the Reds are playing football and that could all combine to see the most unlikely of deals through to completion.
Liverpool fans are trying not to get too excited about this one. The finances involved in any purchase of Mbappe would be mammoth, as would he wage demands.
The club already have one of the biggest salary bills in the Premier League and have added to that with the signing of Thiago, Kostas Tsimikas and Diogo Jota.
This move has been a slow burning one and Mbappe does appear to have flirted with Merseyside on a couple of occasions.

Where would he fit in with the team? Well, that might not even matter. The PSG forward is so good that Klopp would be able to find a place for him within the system – or even use Mbappe to plug any gaps that might result in selling one of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah.
As the trio are near 30, swapping either one of those with someone who is already an elite footballer at just 21-years-old would be some fine futureproofing.
