Liverpool have been handed an unexpected boost ahead of the Everton game.

Players have been away with their international teams over the past week-and-a-bit, and it’s been a mixed success for those following the fortunes of this club.

We’ve seen Naby Keita struck down with COVID-19 along with four of his countrymen, but Jordan Henderson got some valuable minutes under his belt with England.

Meanwhile Sadio Mane and Thiago should be available for the Merseyside Derby after they’ve completed their 14 day isolation after picking up the horrible virus.

The duo will be available for selection and that will be a massive boost to Jurgen Klopp, who will be incredible pleased to learn of the latest news surrounding another footballer.

You might say this is the work of an undercover agent (insert *cool sunglasses emoji* here).

That’s because Andy Robertson only went and picked up a suspension for Scotland’s next game, which means he’ll be forced to sit out and will return to Liverpool with a little bit extra in his legs.

For a player so important to the side, it’s fantastic news for Klopp and the Reds. Robbo has played a mad amount of football in the last few years and this international break has added extra strain on his body.

The left-back picked up a yellow card for booting the ball away in frustration against Slovakia and will now miss Scotland’s game against the Czech Republic.

Good work Andy. That’s good work.

You can imagine Klopp hearing the news with a goofy smile and a knowing tilt of the head and now our star left-back will be as fresh as possible for the Everton game – a match that has even more significance (is that even possible?) given the result against Aston Villa.
