Midfielder signs new contract – believed to be five-year deal
Liverpool have agreed terms with a midfielder.
The domestic transfer window closes just before the Everton clash and there are some deals to be done.
We’ve seen plenty of transfer speculation, even if Liverpool don’t really plan on being active in the market.
Hull City want to take Herbie Kane on a permanent deal, say latest reports, while the only English winner of the European Golden Shoe reckons Watford’s Ben Foster should be looked at by sporting director Michael Edwards.
Clubs in the Football League are trying to get last minute deals done or hang on to their best players as a vultures circle. Meanwhile, we’ve seen Crystal Palace pick up Nathaniel Clyne on a short-term deal following the expiration of his Liverpool contract.
Edwards hasn’t gone to sleep following the closure of the international transfer window and the club have recently announced that they’ve agreed terms with a midfielder – said the Echo.
Tom Hill has been with the Academy since he was six years old and has been rewarded with his third contract this year.
He signed professional terms in February, was handed an improved deal in August and has put pen-to-paper on another one.
Players under the age of 18 can only sign three-year contracts, and the Echo reported that Liverpool didn’t waste any time offering Hill a five-year deal as soon as they could.
The youngster has already made his debut for the senior side in that Carabao Cup game against Aston Villa and has battled a serious knee injury for the first time.
Hill underwent surgery but is back in rehab and will be keen to make up for lost time and show why club chiefs handed down that big contract.
Should Liverpool make any more transfers before the deadline on Friday, and who would you like to see come into the squad?
