Liverpool take on Sheffield United on Saturday. This is our lineup.

Injuries and fixture congestion will take their toll on Jurgen Klopp’s team; who may opt to field a stronger side and make changes for the next Champions League game.

Joel Matip sat out of the Ajax win but could be included here. That absence was due to a minor niggle and the former Schalke man should be back in action – what will that mean for Joe Gomez?

Against Ajax, Klopp made a triple change as he took off Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah all at once and replaced them with Diogo Jota, Takumi Minamino and Xherdan Shaqiri. Was that to send a message, or to keep the first-choice trio fit?

We’ll have to wait and see about that, although given the fixture congestion it could prove to be the former rather than the latter.

Thiago was another who missed the Amsterdam clash as he was still recovering from Richarlison’s nasty blow. Hopefully the Spaniard will have got better in time for play the Blades, who are looking out of sorts.

If he’s ready, the former Bayern Munich man should slot straight into the side. Sheffield have yet to win this season and have only scored two goals.

They’ve signed Rhian Brewster and the former Liverpool starlet will want to come in and prove a point to Klopp by getting on the scoresheet; plus the Blades could really do with it. The Telegraph have reported that Brewster is set to start, so keep an eye on that.

Right then. Let’s get going with our predicted Liverpool lineup.

Goalkeeper: Adrian

Alisson is back in training and progressing well, but Adrian will keep his spot in the side. After earning a clean sheet against Ajax, the goalkeeper will have something to prove.
