RB- Trent Alexander-Arnold

The England international hasn’t had the brightest of starts to the season but had a very good game against Midtjylland. He provided the assist for the opening goal and could’ve had another to his name had Roberto Firmino found the net which he should have. Alexander-Arnold will undoubtedly start against West Ham and will be eager to grab another assist or two.

CB- Joe Gomez

The 23-year-old’s responsibility in the team has increased with Van Dijk sidelined. He can’t afford to get injured at this moment. Gomez will definitely start in central defence and will be looking to prevent the Hammers attackers from posing much of a threat.

CB- Rhys Williams

Fabinho got injured against Midtjylland and he certainly won’t be starting this weekend. Given that Joel Matip is yet to come back too, it paves the way for Williams to start. The 19-year-old had plenty of game time against the Danish side and put in a decent performance. It’ll be interesting to see how he fares against the Hammers.

LB- Andy Robertson

The Scottish international has been one of Liverpool’s best players since the start of the season. He will start in his usual left-back position and will be expected to be solid defensively while creating scoring opportunities for his teammates through his crossing.
