Liverpool player ratings: Forwards

Diogo Jota (5/10)

After being so good through the middle, Jota was shoehorned into the side on the right side of the attack and struggled to make his presence felt as dramatically as he had done previously. Jota gets into good areas of the pitch but scuffed a few of his shots.

Roberto Firmino (5/10)

Firmino was another who failed to impressed, as he played as the deeper of the four forwards who Klopp started on Sunday. He looked to play things safe and wasn’t adventurous enough in possession, as well as leaving his finishing boots back on Merseyside.

The Brazilian just looks really short on confidence right now, which is a really rare sight for us. Hopefully this international break can revive the man.

Mohamed Salah (7/10)

Salah was picked up front again, which is what Klopp has started to enjoy, and dispatched that penalty with ease. The King had more touches than anyone else, but wasn’t really presented with many chances to add to his tally.

Sadio Mane (8/10)

Mane drew the penalty from Walker and was electric throughout the game. The Senegal international was full of pace and power, while his dribbling ability was evident as well. Mane works his socks off for the side, as well, which is always tremendously important.
