CM – Georginio Wijnaldum

Gini Wijnaldum is pretty much the only man left standing in that Liverpool midfield. Jordan Henderson has suffered his own fitness issues while on England duty, while Thiago and Fabinho are doubts.

Wijnaldum will work well in this midfield two, and he’ll be able to sit back and protect the back four while his partner roams forward and tries to support that forward line.

This could be the Dutchman’s final season at Liverpool, and he’ll want to make the difference during important games like this.

CM – Naby Keita

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Guinea international take to the field for Liverpool, but this could be his moment to shine. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out, we’ve explained the fitness issues of the other players while Milner is going to play at right-back.

Keita could end up in midfield because there’s nobody else to stand in his way. However, he’s a good player and this isn’t a charity pick.

When this man is on form, he’s an excellent option to have and he can make a real difference.
