Inside-left: Sadio Mane (4/10)

Mane was a surprise starter given his workload over the past few weeks, and didn’t provide much going forward apart from the usual industry. Much of that was down to the quality of the service, which was ponderous. Mane barely touched the ball and was fairly anonymous, to be honest.

Centre-forward: Divock Origi (5/10)

Origi isn’t the same beast as Roberto Firmino and his role definitely didn’t seem to be geared towards attempting to find the same results as the Brazilian. Origi didn’t press as much, indeed the entire front three didn’t, and was much more passive in his approach.

He was a surprise starter, and didn’t do much to justify that inclusion. Is this the end of him?

Inside-right: Mohamed Salah (5/10)

As a result of the slow pace of the game, Salah struggled to get into things as he would have liked but the King showed his pace and killer instinct on a number of occasions as he tried to get into good positions. Subbed for Jota.
