Liverpool take on Brighton this weekend.

Premier League action resumes after the disappointing fixture in the Champions League. This is what we think the Liverpool lineup will be!

Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing 2-0 defeat to Atalanta at Anfield. Brighton are currently 16th in the Premier League table but they will be in high spirits after beating Aston Villa 2-1 at home.

However, the Seagulls’ home record has been poor this season with their only win coming against Portsmouth in the EFL Cup. This coupled with the fact that Liverpool are  a much superior team make the Reds heavy favorites to bag all three points.

However, Graham Potter’s side shouldn’t be written off as they might give the champions a run for their money.

If Liverpool win, then they could go to the top of the standings if Spurs are unable to beat Chelsea. Provided Brighton pull off an upset, it’ll be their first win over us since 1984.

Now, let’s take a look at the team Klopp could field on Saturday and do not hesitate to leave your views on it in the comments section.

Alisson

The Brazilian will undoubtedly start in goal on Saturday and will be eager to keep his third clean sheet in this season’s Premier League. Brighton may not have won a league fixture at home yet but they’ve never shied away from taking shots at goal, regardless of who the opponent is.

They had a total of 31 attempts in their fixtures against Chelsea and Manchester United. Hence, there’s every possibility of Alisson being kept busy. The 27-year-old was unable to prevent Josip Ilicic and Robin Gosens from finding the net earlier this week but will be keen on putting a stronger performance against Brighton.

Currently, ten keepers have more clean sheets in the Premier League than Alisson and he’ll be looking to narrow that gap in the coming games. The Brazilian’s performances in recent games have been good and Klopp can count on him to prevent Neal Maupay and the other Brighton attackers from being much of a threat.
