CM – Jordan Henderson

The Liverpool captain missed their last two games due to an injury he sustained during the international break. However, he was seen training with the team yesterday so there’s a fair chance of him being back in the starting XI.

Henderson scored a brilliant goal in the last meeting between Liverpool and Brighton which was also his final game of 2019/20. The 30-year-old will be eager to help his team defensively and offensively provided he starts. There’s still the possibility of Milner starting in midfield if Klopp decides to bench or rest Henderson.

CM – Georginio Wijnaldum

The Dutchman’s performances for Liverpool have been pretty good lately and he will be starting against Brighton on Saturday. Wijnaldum’s role with Liverpool is anything like what he does for Netherlands but his presence in midfield has been useful to the team over the years.

He will be eager to put in a solid performance in the middle of the park and help his team gain three points

CM – Curtis Jones

The teenager put in some promising performances last season which has seen Klopp use him more frequently. Jones has been making the most out of his opportunities through some pretty good performances on the field for someone of his age.

The 19-year-old did well against Leicester and was arguably Liverpool’s best player against Atalanta. With Naby Keita and Thiago out, he will receive a third successive start against Brighton and will be eager to put in the kind of performance he showed in the last two matches.
