Here are the Liverpool player ratings as they beat Wolves 4-0.

The Reds welcomed fans back to Anfield with some sparkling football and even got on the right side of a VAR decision.

A first-half goal from Mohamed Salah got Jurgen Klopp’s men underway before three goals in 20 minutes put the icing on the cake.

Gini Wijnaldum grabbed the second of the game with a beautiful curling effort from range, Joel Matip hammered home a header and then Nelson Semedo sent one into his own net to make it four.

The win means Liverpool have kept pace with Tottenham, who sit at the top of the Premier League following their 2-0 win over Arsenal in the North London derby.

Young goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher followed up his clean sheet on Champions League debut with another one in his top-flight bow. Adrian’s way back to the side looks a long way off, even if Alisson Becker’s hamstring injury keeps him out for longer than expected.

Neco Williams continued at right-back and will be pleased to have been a part of a defence that nullified a dangerous Wolves attack, while Curtis Jones continued his midfield education. We might look back in this season as one that launched the career of several Academy graduates, and in that sense, all the injuries may be worth it in the long term.

Naby Keita and Trent Alexander-Arnold made their first appearances since picking up injuries against Leicester and Manchester City and that’s another positive moment to come from this fixture.

Let’s see how Kelleher performed during his second appearance of the season. These are our Liverpool player ratings.

Goalkeeper: Caoimhin Kelleher (8/10)

Kelleher has to be the established second choice and will surely edge Adrian out of the way now. The Irishman looks better with the ball at his feet and made one excellent save early on.
