Gini Wijnaldum (8/10)

Wijnaldum showed how important he is for Klopp by putting in another superb performance, which he capped off with a fine goal. Gini is a ball retention monster and he put in 90 minutes that would scare the hardiest midfield ball-winner as he showed off one of the qualities Klopp so admires in him.

Replacing Wijnaldum in the summer is going to be one tricky task.

Curtis Jones (6.5/10)

Picked up a little knock early, which could have hampered his performance over the remainder of the game. Jones is young but he displayed good positional awareness and made a few darting runs. He worked hard for the side, which is a pre-requisite for any Klopp footballer.

Jordan Henderson (7.5/10)

Henderson came back into the side after being eased into things by a cautious Liverpool medical staff. As we’d expect from the skipper, Hendo was good on the ball and created a few chances with some intelligent forward progressions.

We really miss this man when he’s not around, and his return is another positive to come out of the whole shebang.
