Liverpool take on Fulham on Sunday.

After finishing their Champions League group stage with a draw, Liverpool now focus on their Premier League meeting against the Cottagers.

The Reds are currently second in the Premier League table and will be eager to bag another three points as they face Scott Parker’s side this weekend.

Liverpool last faced Fulham during the 2018/19 season, winning both fixtures. Jurgen Klopp’s side won the away meeting 2-1 courtesy of goals from Sadio Mane and James Milner.

The Cottagers are currently 17th in the league table and look like one of the punching bags of the Premier League this season but they are not to be written off as you never know when they might spring up an upset.

Liverpool are heavy favourites to bag all three points and a win could see them reach top in the standings if Spurs are unable to beat Crystal Palace. However, if Fulham pull off a shock win, it will be their first win over the Reds since 2012.

Now, let’s take a look at the team Klopp could field on Sunday and don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts in the comment section.

Caoimhin Kelleher

During his pre-match press conference, Klopp mentioned that Alisson will be back in full training which makes him a contender to start against Fulham. However, as what happened with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita against Wolves, I’m going for the Brazilian to be on the bench with Kelleher in between the posts.

The young Irishman has so far been making the most out of the opportunities he’s receiving. After a clean sheet on his Premier League debut versus Wolves, Kelleher put in a good show against Midtjylland, making some fine saves.

The 22-year-old could well receive his final league start for some time if he is given the nod this weekend and he’ll be looking to put in an impressive performance between the sticks.

There is every chance of Klopp benching Alisson to keep him fresh for next week’s big meeting against Spurs but it won’t be much of a surprise if the 27-year-old starts against Fulham.
